Independent board for FDA

The US Food and Drug Administration has announced plans to create an independent drug safety oversight board. The board will be responsible for management of drug safety issues and will be made up of FDA members and medical experts from other American government agencies. The FDA also plans to provide a new medical information service for patients and health care professionals.
