Investment in NHS Scotland

NHS boards in Scotland have been given a 10 per cent increase in funding for 2005–06 compared with the allocations for 2004–05. A total of £426m new investment was announced by the Scottish Executive last week: half will go to NHS boards and half to national NHS boards and projects including the improvement of NHS IT systems.
