Tamoxifen and endometrial cancer

Endometrial cancer risk rises with duration of tamoxifen treatment, a study of 1,880 women with breast cancer has found (Journal of the National Cancer Institute 2005;97:375). The study’s authors recommend that this increased risk be considered for both premenopausal and postmenopausal women during treatment and for at least five years after the last treatment.
