Paul Nightingale appointed as SPGC vice-chairman

Paul Nightingale, Scottish operations manager for Co-operative Group Pharmacy, has been appointed vice-chairman of the Scottish Pharmaceutical General Council.

“I am looking forward to working closely with Frank Owens, SPGC chairman, and Paul White, SPGC chief executive officer, in our ongoing negotiations for the new pharmacy contract,” said Mr Nightingale. “I am committed to working tirelessly for the benefit of Scottish community pharmacy contractors and their employees.”

Mr Nightingale’s appointment was made last Thursday and follows the resignation of Alex MacKinnon, who has become the SPGC’s head of professional service development, communication and external relations.
