AGM adopts changes to Code
Changes to the Code of Ethics for pharmacists, made by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Council during the past year, were adopted at the annual
general meeting of the Society on 24 May.
The President reported to the AGM that a new section on co-operation
with inquiries into fitness to practise had been inserted in Part 2 of
the code, which concerned standards of professional performance (PJ,
16 April, p464). The wording in section B of Part 2, concerning professional
competence, had been revised (PJ, 18/25 December 2004, p889). And Part
3, the service specifications, the wording had been revised in Service
Specification 9, which was concerned with online pharmacy services (PJ,
18/25 December 2004, p889).
