Growth factor may help Crohn’s

Severity of Crohn’s disease may be decreased by a haematopoietic growth factor.

Researchers found that administering sargramostim 6µg/kg/day to patients with active Crohn’s disease decreased disease severity and improved the patients’ quality of life (New England Journal of Medicine 2005;352:2193).
