New sexual health committee

Members of Scotland’s new Sexual Health Advisory Committee were announced last week and include Angela Timoney, chairman of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Scottish Executive.

The committee’s role is to advise Parliament on sexual health policy and to support the implementation of a sexual health strategy. It will meet for the first time next week. Ms Timoney said that pharmacists already have roles in sexual health but that there is “so much more that we could and should be doing if given the opportunity”.
