NHS appoints innovation lead

Bernard Crump has been appointed chief executive designate of the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, it was announced last week.

Dame Yve Buckland will be chairman of the new organisation, formerly known as the NHS Institute for Learning, Skills and Innovation, which will be launched as a special health authority on 1 July 2005. The institute will encourage innovation in the NHS.
