NPA guidance on carrying out patient surveys planned

To help contractors through the patient survey process required by the new community pharmacy contract in England and Wales, the National Pharmacy Association is to develop a free-of-charge guide for its members.

The NPA has commissioned a research project to look at how a suitable resource can be best developed and plans to have the guide ready for distribution in the autumn.

Colette McCreedy, NPA director of pharmacy practice, commented: “As the exact specification for the questionnaire has not yet been agreed by the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee and the Department of Health, I would encourage members to wait until the details have been finalised before implementing this part of the new contract.”
