Still time to influence fees review

Members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society who wish to put forward constructive proposals for the Society’s fee structure still have a chance to influence the Council’s re-examination of the issue.

At its June meeting, the Council agreed to set up a working group to review the fee structure in the light of members’ concerns. The group was to report to the July meeting of the Resource Management Committee, which would then make recommendations to the August Council meeting.

The RMC meeting had been scheduled to take place this week, but has now been postponed to 21 July. As a result, The Journal is happy to accept further letters setting out members’ views on what future Registers might look like and how the fee structure could raise the revenues needed to support the Society’s development. We will forward all the letters to the Society for consideration by the Resource Management Committee and we will publish the most constructive suggestions in next week’s issue.
