Society’s HQ stayed open despite London bomb attacks
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s headquarters stayed open for business all last week despite the terrorist bomb attacks on London’s transport systems as Londoners were heading for work on 7 July.
No member of staff was hurt in the incidents although one staff member
was one of those evacuated from one of the stricken trains and many members
of staff and headquarters visitors were caught up in the ensuing emergency
measures.
The President of the Society, Hemant Patel, said: “Last week was
a terrible tragedy for all Londoners and my thoughts are with the victims
and their families.
“I am proud at how the Society's staff pulled together to ensure
that the London offices could continue to operate in such difficult circumstances.”
