Public health register to be set up after London bombs
The Health Protection Agency is to establish a register of those people who were physically exposed
to the effects of the explosions that occurred in London on 7 July.
The HPA says that the risk of long-term adverse effects arising from
exposure to chemicals or blood in the incident is low but wants to monitor
those involved as a precaution. Inclusion in the register will be voluntary.
Information on those exposed will be collected from a variety of sources
including health care providers who provided treatment following the
explosions. |
