Representatives from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace on Thursday 21 July at the invitation of the Queen.
The Society group included two former Council members, Alison Ewing and
Clive Jackson, both of whom retired from the Council in April. Miss Ewing,
who is clinical director of pharmacy at Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen
University Hospitals NHS Trust, had been a Council member since 2000.
She was accompanied to the palace by her mother, Marie Ewing. Mr Jackson,
who is chief executive of the National Prescribing Centre, had been a
Council member since 2002.
Also in the group was David Pruce, Director of Practice and Quality Improvement
at the Society, who was accompanied by his wife Cate.
