CHRE proclaims its successes

The Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence has published its second annual report. It cites cross-regulatory work and the identification and sharing of best practice across health care regulatory bodies as its main achievements.

Between April 2004 and March 2005 the CHRE considered 590 fitness-to-practise decisions and appealed eight cases to the High Court where it considered that the decision was unduly lenient.
