No appeal over oxygen supply

DeVilbiss Medequip will not appeal against a High Court refusal to grant the company an injunction against the Department of Health in relation to the supply of oxygen contracts, it was announced this week.

DeVilbiss Medequip took legal action after it failed to win a new DoH home oxygen service contract. The Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee said that the new arrangements for the supply of oxygen to patients in the community in England are still likely to start on 1 February 2006.
