Asthma monitoring at Boots

A free asthma monitoring service is being provided by 50 Boots The Chemists stores in England. The service is provided in conjunction with Asthma UK and consists of a 10-minute consultation with the pharmacist covering inhaler technique, medicines management and lifestyle advice such as coping with coughs, colds and hay fever. All pharmacy staff, including health care assistants and dispensers, have been trained to identify whether patients’ asthma is well controlled.
