Increase in Council members’ attendance fee

The daily fee paid to members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Council for attendance at meetings of the Council and its committees has been raised from £160 to £200, which is the limit allowed by the current Byelaws. The fee can also be claimed by external members of the main Council committees. The increase was agreed by the Council at the August Council meeting.

The Council is currently consulting on a proposed Byelaw amendment to increase the attendance fee limit from £200 to £300, allowing the Council to increase the fee above £200 at some point, should it so wish (PJ, 16 July 2005, p100).
