Over 60pc of patients believe that NHS care is improving

Patients are satisfied with most aspects of care provided by the NHS and believe care is improving, a MORI survey has concluded.

Just under two thirds (62 per cent) of the public are satisfied with how the NHS is run overall, and most are satisfied with GP services, accident and emergency care, outpatient services and inpatient care (87 per cent, 70 per cent, 85 per cent and 92 per cent, respectively).

Access to NHS dentists remains an area of concern. And, compared with previous surveys, the number of people satisfied with the availability of out-of-hours care has decreased slightly.

Public attitudes towards pharmacy services were not covered by the survey specifically but most people believe that local service provision is improving.
