AAH warehouse in Bristol given £3.2m refit

Diane Colliver and Steve Dunn

New facilities at the AAH distribution centre in Bristol were officially opened by managing director Steve Dunn this week, following a £3.2m refit.

The warehouse now operates at about 74 per cent automation, with new picking machines to improve accuracy and speed, wrist barcode scanners and a new warehouse control system. Speaking at the opening, Mr Dunn said that AAH has established a 10-year partnership with the major hospitals in the Avon, Gloucester and Wiltshire Strategic Health Authority with the aim of improving the efficiency of the supply chain and reducing costs.
