Numark launches initiative for preregistration trainees

Numark intends to help its members train preregistration staff by providing seminars and workshops for trainees.

The seminars will be designed to help trainees put their clinical knowledge into practice and will also include sessions on management skills, teamwork, communications, time management, negotiation and influencing.

Mimi Lau, professional services controller at Numark, said: “Little is being provided formally by independent pharmacists for trainees in terms of structured disease management and management skills training. This could impact on the ability of independent pharmacists to attract preregistration staff compared with the multiples.”
