Strychnine for mole control

Strychnine will no longer be approved for mole control from 1 September 2006. It will be illegal to purchase or to use strychnine after this date, the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs has announced. Pharmacies are not required to take strychnine back; authorised users must arrange safe disposal through a licensed waste collector.
