Pomegranate juice

Pomegranate juice has been shown to reduce prostate tumour growth and levels of prostate specific antigen in mice. Mice were injected with human prostate cancer cells and given pomegranate fruit extract or water. Mice receiving high-dose extract showed significant inhibition of tumour growth (published online on 28 September in Proceedings of the National Academy of Science.
