Branch secretaries to discuss Section 60 Order and new Code of Ethics

The expected Section 60 Order under the Health Act 1999, and the review of the Code of Ethics are to be on the agenda when secretaries of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society's branches and regions meet at the Society's headquarters on 19 October for the 2005 branch and regional secretaries' meeting. Presentations on the Section 60 Order and the Code of Ethics review will be given by senior Society staff. Other topics for discussion will include the review of the branch representatives’ meeting.

Participants will also have the opportunity to hear about examples of best practice in the South East Metropolitan branch and the Norfolk and Norwich branch.

Eight of the English regions, 42 English branches, four Scottish branches and four Welsh branches have confirmed that they will be represented by their secretaries or a nominated deputy.
