Online registration renewal is popular with technicians
Online renewal of registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is proving popular with registered pharmacy technicians.
Of 148 who have so far renewed their registration for 2006, nearly 85
per cent have chosen to pay by credit or debit card through the payment
facility on the Society’s website.
Corrine Hunt, a pharmacy technician member of the Society’s Council,
said: “It is still early days but it is encouraging that such a
high percentage of pharmacy technicians who paid their 2006 retention
fees have done so using the online service. It demonstrates the extent
to which pharmacy technicians are committed to being registered.”
Retention fee forms were posted recently to all 1,800 registered pharmacy
technicians. Although they have until 31 December to complete the process,
the Society is encouraging them to respond quickly, because those who
do not pay by the end of the year will be removed from the register automatically.
The Society says that pharmacy technicians who have not yet received
a form should contact the registration section (tel 020 7572 2322; e-mail
registration@rpsgb.org).
