Working group to examine processes for recording CPD

A working group has been established by the Council of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society to examine ways of developing and improving the processes for recording members' and registrants' continuing professional development.

At the October Council meeting, it was agreed that the working group would review the information and data collected to date on the introduction of CPD, examine the current arrangements for its recording and monitoring and consider further developments for its recording and monitoring. The group would report back to the Council in April 2006. As well as Council members, the group will include practising pharmacists from the main fields of pharmacy practice, a registered pharmacy technician and an external member from another profession, all of whom are actively recording CPD.
