Fledgling IPF calls for input

Input from independent community pharmacists has been called for by the fledgling Independent Pharmacy Federation.

“What we need now is feedback from independent community pharmacists,” steering group member Graham Phillips said. “Their views on the formation of the IPF will be crucial for us to move forward.”

The steering group wants to know whether or not potential members think that their needs are met by the National Pharmacy Association or Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee, and whether they think that an organisation that represents them exclusively would be of use and if they will pay to be members.

John Davies, retail services director of wholesaler Mawdsleys, who is supporting the formation of the new group, said: “It is important that we get our strategy right at an early stage.”

Views on the new organisation can be e-mailed to info@irxf.co.uk
