Perhaps the wrong kind of representation?

Let me reassure Frances Cairns (PJ, 8 October, p441 PDF (120K)) that she is not the only person aware of George, the pharmacist in Desperate Housewives. I hope it will not spoil things for her if I reveal that, three or four episodes into the second series, George seems be taking on a new significance, although perhaps he is not the role model we are looking for.
