“Get the right treatment” focuses on new contract

The new community pharmacy contract is one of the areas focused on in this year's Department of Health “Get the right treatment” campaign for England.

The campaign, which will run until early next year, includes radio and regional press advertising, as well as a leaflet explaining repeat dispensing. Copies of the leaflet are available from primary care trusts.

The annual “Get the right treatment” campaign encourages patients to access appropriate NHS services. This year it promotes individual services within a particular access route — including the services available as part of the new contract and those available from NHS walk-in centres and NHS Direct.
