List of accredited ETP system suppliers published by CfH

The technical accreditation status of pharmacy systems developed to operate the electronic prescription service in England have been published on the Connecting for Health website.

The list indicates if a system is accredited for “release 1” or when it is expected to receive accreditation. Contact details of suppliers are also given. To date, six commercially available systems and one in-house system have been accredited. A further four systems are due to be accredited over the next few months.

Once a system has been accredited by CfH, it is launched at a single initial implementer site. The system must be proved at this site before it is considered to be ETP-compliant and can be deployed more widely. The new community pharmacy contract IT allowance can only be claimed for ETP-compliant systems. CfH will update the list of accredited systems at the beginning of each month. Contractors can contact suppliers direct to ascertain when a system is likely to be considered ETP-compliant.
