TRIBUTE
Anthony John Edwards

Tribute

Edwards In a tribute to the late Anthony John Edwards (PJ, 12 November, p618), RICHARD TUFFIN writes: I was privileged to have known Tony Edwards from the time he first came to Armley to work as a locum for me some years ago. He found the work interesting and finally took up a permanent post at the prison.

After I retired from the prison service and settled in Australia, we still kept in contact. He was interested in amateur radio and was pleased when he finally obtained his licence a short while ago. He enjoyed all sports, fishing, body boarding and his pride and joy, his BMW. Tony had a keen interest in cricket, right up to his last e-mail to me in September when England had won back the ashes, much to his delight.

He fought his illness with great courage and will be missed by his colleagues and friends. My thoughts are with his wife Julie and his two sons at this time.
