Society publication is highly commended in book awards

A book published by the Pharmaceutical Press (the publishing imprint of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society) has been highly commended in the 2005 BMA (British Medical Association) medical book competition.

‘Concordance: a partnership in medicine taking’, edited by Christine Bond, received its accolade in the “basis of medicine” category of the awards. The book was published last year (PJ, 18/25 December 2004, p885).

Awards were made in 25 subject categories. There were 23 first prize winners and 74 highly commended award winners from a total entry of 619 books.
