PPIs of some use for cough

Proton pump inhibitors probably have some beneficial effects for some adults with cough associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, say researchers. However, they add that the effect is “less universal” than that suggested by international guidelines (published on 5 December, BMJ Online First).
