More members switch to online fee payment

More members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society are paying their retention fee online than by cheque for the first time since the online payment service began in 2004.

The Society’s head of registration, Andrew Gardner, said: “The figures are encouraging, with half of those paying online having paid by cheque in the past. The online service is working well, and members are realising that making a web payment is simple and secure. Receipts are e-mailed to those members who pay online and are sent out within 24 hours of payment being made.”

Members can pay online using their registration number and retention form number. Payment is due and payable on 1 January 2006.
