Practice Committee invites input to agenda from Society's members
Members of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society are being invited to submit ideas for consideration by the Council's Practice Committee during 2006.
The initiative is designed to encourage engagement with practice planning
from a wider range of members.
Members will be able to submit topics
for consideration by e-mailing them to practice@rpsgb.org at least 28
days in advance of each meeting. The Practice Committee’s scheduled
meeting dates in 2006 are 18 January, 1 March, 3 May, 5 July and 27 September.
The committee’s chairman, Sultan Dajani, explained: “As the
role of pharmacy evolves, it is increasingly important that we engage
with all areas of the profession at practice level.
“By offering pharmacists the opportunity to input ideas for the
agenda we are looking to involve members more closely in influencing
the ongoing
development of the Society’s practice policy.”
The Society’s acting head of practice, Robert Clayton, said: “The
committee is keen to have more interaction with members. For practical
reasons we cannot automatically debate every suggestion made but all
those received will be considered for debate and those topics chosen
will be included alongside standard agenda items.”
