The summary of product characteristics for Lyrica (pregabalin; Pfizer) has been updated to include swollen face and swollen tongue as rare adverse events. See SPC.

Discontinued products

Dermovate NN ointment
Dermovate (clobetasol propionate; GlaxoSmithKline) NN ointment has been discontinued. All other Dermovate presentations remain available.

Efcortelan 2.5 per cent 30g cream
Efcortelan (hydrocortisone; GlaxoSmithKline) 2.5 per cent cream 30g has been discontinued. All other strengths and presentations of Efcortelan remain available.

Negram
Negram (nalidixic acid; Sanofi-Synthelabo) tablets have been discontinued.

Pulmocare 250ml
Pulmocare (Abbott) 250ml can for enteral nutrition will be discontinued at the end of January. The 500ml ready-to-hang preparation will remain available.

Supply issues

Goldshield products
Deteclo (tetracycline; Goldshield) tablets 300mg will be unavailable until July. Supply problems affecting Lederfen (fenbufen; Goldshield) capsules 300mg have been resolved, but Lederfen tablets 300mg and 450mg will remain unavailable until May. Goldshield’s methotrexate tablets 2.5mg are now available again.

Wyeth
Wyeth is currently experiencing problems supplying Premique (conjugated oestrogen) Low Dose tablets, Tri-Minulet (ethinylestradiol; gestodene) 3 x 21-tablet packs and Minulet (gestodene; ethinylestradiol) 3 x 21-tablet packs.
