Community pharmacists in Fife advise on winter ailments

Community pharmacists in Fife are aiming to raise awareness of pharmacy's role in managing winter ailments in a new campaign starting next week.

This is the third year that NHS Fife has run a “Just ask your pharmacist” campaign. Each year, a different topic is highlighted and this year’s theme is winter ailments. The campaign includes publicity events with each pharmacy using posters, leaflets, balloons, keyrings and pens supplied by NHS Fife. Evelyn McPhail, chief pharmacist, primary care, NHS Fife, said: “The annual ‘Just ask’ campaigns provide community pharmacies across Fife an opportunity to inform their customers and patients about the wide range of services they can offer — services that people don’t often know about.”

Altogether, 63 of the 77 community pharmacies in Fife are taking part.
