Scottish Pharmaceutical Federation members vote to wind up

Members of the Scottish Pharmaceutical Federation have voted in favour of the federation being wound up.

The results of a postal vote announced this week show that 95 per cent of SPF members support the move. It means that the SPF’s assets will be transferred to the Scottish Pharmaceutical General Council. Two SPF representatives, James Semple and Maurice Hickey, will now be given places on the SPGC standing committee.

Mr Semple, SPF chairman, said: “Community pharmacy in Scotland will be strengthened by speaking with a single, strong voice.”
