Coversyl
The summary of product characteristics for Coversyl (perindopril erbumine; Servier) has been updated to include an additional indication for the reduction of risk of cardiac events in patients with stable coronary artery disease who have a history of myocardial infarction or revascularisation. For this indication, Coversyl should be introduced at a dose of 4mg once daily for two weeks and then increased to 8mg once daily, depending on renal function and provided that 4mg dose is well tolerated. Elderly patients should receive 2mg once daily for one week, then 4mg once daily for the next week, before increasing the dose up to 8mg once daily depending on renal function and the lower dose being well tolerated. If unstable angina pectoris occurs during the first month treatment should be reviewed. See SPC
