HealthWatch

Clarification

From Dr R. Woodward, MRPharmS

Nick Ross (PJ, 28 January, p106) has failed to set the record straight. My former company was not fined for making “unsubstantiated claims” but for making a false trade description.

In its newsletter at that time, HealthWatch, in giving an account of the case, used the word “fraud”. I began a libel action against HealthWatch. HealthWatch offered an unqualified apology, together with payment of agreed costs and damages in an out-of-court settlement.

Robert Woodward
