Capping dispensing containers on receipt from wholesaler

Empty dispensing containers for tablets or for liquids are usually received from wholesalers in shrink-wrap polythene. When this polythene is removed, it is important that the containers are capped immediately before being moved to their storage site. This is to prevent the entry of dirt or foreign bodies into the container. The containers should be checked for dirt or foreign bodies before use because it is extremely difficult to detect such matter through the brown glass or plastic once they have been filled.
