Professor Florence retires

Sandy Florence has retired from his position as dean and professor of pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy, University of London.
Professor Florence, a fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, has
held the post of dean at the school since 1989. He obtained his bachelor
of science in pharmacy from the University of Glasgow in 1962 and began
his academic career in 1966 as a lecturer in pharmaceutical chemistry
at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Professor Florence was a member
of the Committee on Safety of Medicines from 1982 to 1998.
A dinner to mark his retirement was held on 21 March at the Foundling
Museum, London. |
