YPG e-hustings website covers current issues

All eight candidates in this year's Royal Pharmaceutical Society Council election are answering questions on an e-hustings website offered by the Young Pharmacists Group.

In the month since the site was launched, the candidates have responded to 21 questions posed by members of the Society.

However, only 20 members have registered to use the site with half of them putting questions to the candidates. Topics on which the candidates’ views have been canvassed include the planned Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order 2006 that will determine the future regulation of the profession, encouraging more members to vote in the election, the new pharmacy contracts and skill mix in pharmacy.

The YPG has organised an annual hustings meeting in recent years, but not all candidates have attended.

The e-hustings is accessible at www.rpsgb-hustings.co.uk
