Reminder about end of reciprocal registration

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society is advising pharmacists who are approached to act as supervisors under the reciprocal registration agreement that the mandatory four-week period of supervised employment should commence no later than Friday 2 June.

The Council agreed at its April 2005 meeting that it would no longer be possible for pharmacists who have registered in Australia and New Zealand to register with the Society under the agreement after noon on Friday 30 June. Applications received after the deadline and those that are incomplete cannot be considered. From June 30, all applications from overseas pharmacists, other than those from Northern Ireland or from EEA nationals with “an appropriate European diploma”, will be considered via the Adjudicating Committee process.

The Society’s website (www.rpsgb.org) gives detailed information about the reciprocal registration agreement.
