Panel set up to promote good practice in health research
Good practice in health research in universities, the NHS and industry is to be promoted by a UK-wide initiative launched last week.
The UK Panel for Research Integrity in Health and Biomedical Sciences
aims to eliminate malpractice in research and has been initially established
as a three-year
project. It will not have regulatory or policing powers, but will endeavour
to embed a culture of good conduct in research. The panel will develop
a code of good practice, maintain a register of advisers, support whistle
blowers, provide training and, in future, maintain a web-based resource. |
