New MHRA investigation into co-cyprindiol and depression

Depression in women taking Dianette (co-cyprindiol) is to be investigated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in response to a dossier submitted by the Adverse Psychiatric Reactions Information Link (APRIL) charity.

The MHRA points out that depression is already a known side effect of the drug for which the product information contains a warning, and that the review is being dealt with routinely.
