Pharmaceutical Press

Discounts for members

Mr C. J. Livsey, MRPharmS

The discount offered when a new Martindale is published is a rare perk of membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. I wonder if the Pharmaceutical Press would consider a similar offer to members wishing to purchase the new publication ‘English delftware drug jars’ (PJ, 13 May, p574). This long-awaited and important publication does, after all, catalogue the collection of the Society, which by extension is the property of the members. A modest discount to purchase the catalogue of our own collection would be a much appreciated gesture.

PHILIPPA STAHELIN, head of sales, RPS Publishing, responds:

We sometimes offer pre-publication discounts for specific books like Martindale. In the case of the book you mention, watch out for a discount offer coming in the PJ in a few weeks’ time.
