Council election

Time for introspection

From Mr K. S. Donlon, MRPharmS

Speculation that non-response in the recent Royal Pharmaceutical Society Council elections (PJ, 13 May, p554) represents a disinterested or uninformed professional majority belies the undercurrent opinion of members engrossed with the issue of why they pay a retention fee.

Long before votes are cast, is the Society not obliged to introspection and exploration of the reasons behind this inertia?

I regret it might not like what it finds.

Kieron Donlon
Wigan, Lancashire
