Headlice treatment in WalesIn Wales, resistance to pyrethoids may mean that organophosphates control head louse infections better, a study published online this week suggests (Archives of Disease in Childhood, 14 June 2006). Researchers found lice on 231 of 2,793 children screened, 82.6 per cent of which were resistant to pyrethoids. They recommend that, in Wales, products containing organophosphates are used first-line. |
