Comedis ordering system relaunched with new functions

Comedis, the pharmacy e-transfer ordering system for over-the-counter medicines, has been relaunched in a format that allows pharmacists to customise ordering and receive targeted wholesaler and manufacturer information, including staff training materials.

Users can now search for product offers by individual name, manufacturer, chosen wholesaler or by volume-related offers. They can also set up a customised price watch on the fastest moving products within their pharmacies. Additional functions include a user log in system with varying levels of access rights and order tracking and scheduling. The new format follows the acquisition of Comedis by Nutech Pharma, a privately owned investment company, in April.

Currently, Comedis is used by around 3,200 independent pharmacists and includes Numark and seven OTC manufacturers in its supplier base.
