Society starts consultation on a strategy for PPI …
Consultation starts on 3 July on a proposed strategy for patient and public involvement (PPI) in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
The strategy has been drawn up for the Society by independent consultants
and was approved
by the Council at its June meeting (PJ, 17 June, p730).
A consultation document is to be made available on the Society’s
website (www.rpsgb.org). The consultation will close on 8 September.
In an article on p30, the Society’s
Vice-President, Gerald Alexander, explains why the Society needs a PPI
strategy and urges members of the pharmacy profession to give their views
on the draft strategy.
… and on draft Rules covering registration and fitness to practise
Consultation starts on 3 July on draft Rules covering the Society’s registration and fitness-to-practise procedures.
A consultation pack is to be made available on the Society’s website
(www.rpsgb.org). The consultation will close on 22 September.
The draft Rules have already been the subject of two articles in The
Journal. The first (PJ, 17 June, p733) gave a general
overview of the consultation process; the second (PJ, 24 June, p767) gave a preview
of the proposals affecting registration with the Society.
This week (p31) a third article summarises
the draft Rules relating to
the new fitness-to-practise committees that are to be established under
the proposed Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians Order under Section
60 of the Health Act 1999. |
